Things You Must Know About 1st Central Cancellation Policy 

You don’t have to send any prior cancellation notice to 1st Central if you want to discontinue your policy. These are the conditions of the 1st Central cancellation policy- 

If you cancel your policy for non-disclosure or misinterpretation  You will have a cancellation fee of £75 
If you cancel for any other reason than non-disclosure or misinterpretation after 14 days of the policy start date  You will get no refund on the purchased policy. Additionally, you will have a cancellation fee of £50
If you cancel within 14 days, known as the cooling-off period  Full refund minus the charges of the policy period 1st Central has covered for you. 

Note that if the deposit and installment amount you paid does not cover the charged amount, you must pay an additional amount to 1st Central. 

1st Central also has amendment fees. They are as follows- 

  • If you make the amendment online via your account, you’ll have to pay £25. 
  • If you amend chat or phone, you’ll have to pay £30
  • If you have to make amendments because of non-disclosure or misinterpretation, the fee is £50. 

Do 1st Central Charges Any Renewal Cancellation Fee? 

Yes, it has a renewal fee which works as follows- 

If you cancel before your policy reaches its renewal date No cancellation fee 
If you cancel within 14 days after the renewal period started You will have to pay the arrangement fee and the amount of the cover period 
If you cancel after 14 days after the renewal period started You’ll have to pay for the time you received cover beside the arrangement and cancellation fee. 

How Does 1st Central Process Refunds? 

When you cancel any policy, 1st Central prefers to initiate the refund to the card set up for the policy. If your card has expired, you will receive a refund on your bank account. 

If 1st Central does not have your bank details with them, they will send you a refund cheque on your days. The refund takes around ten business days to complete. In some instances, they ask the customer to submit personal details for verification purposes.

You can cancel your 1st Central car insurance anytime by calling 03330422066. You can also cancel your policy online from the “your account” section by visiting the 1st Central website. 

The working hours of 1st Central are- 

  • Monday to Friday- 8am to 8pm
  • Saturday- 9am to 5pm 
  • Sunday- 10am to 2pm 
  • Bank holidays- 1am to 4pm.
